Meet your Member of Parliament

Born and raised in Blackville, New Brunswick, Jake Daniel Stewart was elected to the Village of Blackville Council in 2006 where he served a full term as a councilor. He was then elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in the 2010 provincial election, where he represented the electoral district of Southwest Miramichi Bay du Vin as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick until 2021.  Jake Stewart now is the sitting member of the House of Commons representing the Miramichi – Grand Lake region.  Jake’s passion for serving his community shines through in his many community engagements and activities. Jake lives in Blackville with his wife Shannon, their kids, River, Roman, Leia and Meadow and their dog Skye.
